1. Copy and paste your friends list. 2. If you've friended multiple journals by the same person, delete all but the "main" one. 3. Bold the name of everyone you know or have met in "real life." 4. Underline the name of everyone you've chatted with online or is on your buddy list. 5. [Bracket] people you've known, online or off, for more than five years. 6. Italicize people that have a livejournal (at least partly) because of you. 7. Pass it on.

Everyone's been so bummed lately... I think pixiegirlfive put it best, though: It just all seems so unfortunate. I guess it just goes to prove that as good as things can get they can also get just as bad :( Buuuttt, I love you guys and you will all be ok...hopefully!
Except change that hopefully to DEFINITELY!
So, what's been going on with me this summer? (Not that anyone cares...) Well, I've been going to my internship ship at GD-AIS, which started on the 31st of May... and that's all I've had time for during the week.
I get up at 6, I leave the house by 6:30, my mom drives me in to her office, I hop on the Metro at Clarendon, transfer from the Orange to the Blue line, and get off at Crystal City. Then I walk through like a MILE of an underground hallway that's decorated with pictures of tulips... it's kind of gaudy, but I've tuned it out. There are certain people I see nearly every day, either on the Metro or while walking. The asian kid (who reminds me of Yao Ming, probably because he's carrying a sports bag and is relatively tall) with his mom, the intern walking in the other direction who looks like a whore (not because of her clothes, or even her makeup... but by the way she walks, the way she holds her purse (in the crook of her arm, with her arm held up at shoulder height, like she's going to reach for something), the shoes she wears, and the expression on her face), the girl on the Metro with the short curly hair, who always wears light-color shirts, and the guy who looks like a disgruntled Will Sasso, but with this wispy, thinning hair in a bad comb-over that won't stay stuck to his head. I get to work around 7:30... and I either have nothing to do, or the only thing for me to do is to transfer the SAME information into yet ANOTHER website design... which is never any fun. So, I've become quite good at goofing off... not that I needed to be any better at it. And then, at 4, I leave, after sending a message to Jon (who's interning at RWD, that research facility right outside the circle at UMBC!) via MSN Messenger, complete with copious amounts and liberal uses of the many emoticons that client has to offer. I ride the Metro back in the opposite direction (and order) as I did that morning... I get off at Clarendon, walk to my mom's office building, and the guards let me in (they know me by now, I used to have to wait outside the garage), whereupon I walk down the escalators(!) to the lobby, and sit and read until my mom deigns that it's time to go home. She comes down to get me, we walk to the car, we drive home and complain about traffic and the assholic HOV violators... (trust me, if you drove HOV and you saw that not only were these people on the HOV road as singletons but also driving like assholes, you'd be pissed off too). I get home, I get out of my work clothes (no description there!), I feed Ted, I clean my room a bit, I talk to Jon, I take a shower, I got to sleep. Repeat, ad nauseum.
So, having said all this, I'm sure you all can appreciate how little my list has changed:
( list, duh )
So what do I do on the weekends, you ask? I go to see Jon, or he comes to see me... except for the weekend after the Fourth of July, during which my family and I drove (well, actually, my dad did the driving) ACROSS THE COUNTRY to Illinois. It takes a day and a half each day... we left halfway through Thursday, and were back Sunday afternoon...
oy vey. |

Can you believe I haven't plugged in my laptop yet? Haven't even taken it out of the case... so I'm on LJ from work, and that's also why I haven't commented (or posted) in so long...
List of Things I Need(ed) to Do Over Summer:
- clean my room
- organize my closet
- get together with Nicole/Rachel/Lisa
- prep junk for the froshes
- plan our room with Jessica
-
pack my stuff up for next year
- pack my winter clothes up
- put more songs on my iPod
(which means I need to setup my laptop...)
- Natasha Bedingfield
- the rest of the Cowboy Bebop OSTs
- Altar Boyz
- some of Jo's music
- random anime music... ^_^
- the new BEP album
- more movie soundtracks
- Cats Don't Dance (oh please!!!)
- Lilo & Stitch (please!!!)
- 101 Dalmatians... :)
- The Little Mermaid, etc.
- anything else we have...
- some stuff from Jon...
- finish Final Fantasy 7
- play Xenosaga
- get Jon a birthday present
- get crap off my laptop and onto DVDs
- read 15 books (at least!)
I've been making websites for work... if you want to see (or give me some feedback on the latest one, I need it...) just IM me... I'm here from 7:30 to 4, everyday... ;)
And that's all I have to say for now... except for some quotes from my friends' somewhat-recent journal entries: "I saw Madagascar. It was good, I liked the Lemurs." "Do the dishes? I'M not doing the dishes, HAHA! I'm THROWING THEM AWAY!" "She's a space raver chihuahua girl..." "You fly around, pick up the FBI agents, and drop them into the wood chipper" "A stump we encountered while taking Abby for a walk will soon be no more after a few sticks of TNT and a whole lot of firecrackers." |

So, it's just Me and Jess this weekend... We've been cleaning the common room, and packing, and cleaning, and eating, and sleeping, and packing, and cleaning... oh, and we'll be studying soon too. :)
I hope I did OK on my Calc test... My teacher let Me retake the 3rd Exam, instead of taking the Final (which was optional anyway, but yeah). So hopefully I'll get a B in Calc, and won't have to retake it this summmer...
Off to pack some more! :)

Comment with your name and I will write something about you. - I will then tell what song/movie remind me of you. - If I were to apply an o'clock to you, it would be... - I will try to name a single word that best describes you. - I'll tell you the most memorable moment I've had with you. - I will tell you what animal you remind me of. - I'll then tell you something that I've always wondered about you. - Put this in your journal |
